We are made up of a Fundraising Team based at LJWB,
supported by a main Fundraising Committee and Various Sub Committees.
a) New Year Appeal Committee
This committee is responsible for co-ordinating the New Year Appeal and ensuring all pledges are redeemed.

Pay Day:
In order to cut back on administrative costs we are asking the whole community to redeem their New Year Appeal pledge or make a donation to the New Year Appeal on one day – this year we are asking people to come into the Centre the day after Yom Kippur, ‘Pay Day’. You can call into the Community Centre any time from 10am-3pm where we will take your payment or call us on tel: 0113 2185848. Alternatively you can pay online at www.ljwb.co.uk.
Prompt Paperless Payment will allow us to put your donation to work immediately and prevent us from sending you further correspondence.
This Yom Kippur please take your responsibilities to LJWB one step further, avoid unnecessary costs and join us in Pay Day.
b) Young Welfare Board
A new fundraising group of young married couples in the Community has formed to help raise money for Leeds Jewish Welfare Board. This Committee runs various family oriented events throughout the year including a Purim Party, Chanukah Party and Sponsored Toddle.
c) Women 4 Welfare
A new committee set up by 5 ladies who organise various events including an annual coffee morning and an antiques evening, to raise money for LJWB projects.
d) Summer Fair Committee
This group helps to organise the Annual Midsummer fair which is one of the main fundraising events for LJWB
e) Shop Committee
This group oversees the running of the shop
