Humorous Picture Competition
Members of the HUB art class at the Marjorie & Arnold Ziff Community Centre took part in the annual ‘Humorous Picture Competition’, in memory of the late Maurice Samuel.
Maurice was an active member of the art class and had a keen interest in humorous pictures, always drawing and painting pictures on the funny side of life.
First prize, for the second year running was awarded to Phillip Sheaf for his fantastic picture of the Simpsons. Betty told the class that Maurice himself had painted a humorous picture of the Simpsons during his time with the class so this picture had brought back special memories. ‘Second prize went to Margaret Almond whilst joint third prize went to Stanley Miller and Essie Mack.
Betty was on hand to present the prizes and very much looks forward to next years competition.
