Jim Fixed it for LJWB

Over 300 people attended a brunch at the MAZCC to honour the late Sir Jimmy Savile.

£6000 was raised for Leeds Jewish Welfare Board at the event organised by charity fundraiser Regina Waldman MBE and John Fisher.

A pack containing a souvenir programme of the order of Jimmy's funeral service, presented only to personal mourners, as well as a Jim'll Fix It badge and one of his legendary cigars fetched £1 300 at auction.

Unveiling a gold leaf on LJWB's Tree of Life, Sir Jimmy;s neice and next of kin Amanda McKenna said she was touched by the occasion. "Its wonderful to see how much my uncle was loved and respected by all communities".

Sir Jimmy helped raise money for many Leeds organisations including Laniado Hospital in Netanya and for Leeds Jewish Welfare Board.
