Young Welfare Board Family Chanukah Party

On Sunday 5th December The Young Welfare Board held their 3rd annual Family Chanukah Party, sponsored by Mint Commercial Interiors.

The party provided great fun for all with face painting, tombola, Chanukah arts and crafts, karaoke & disco and refreshments on offer. There was also be a candle lighting ceremony where 9 child openers will made a ‘human menorah’ and each lit a Chanukah candle.   All the children were captivated as they listened to the story of Chanukah told by ‘Judah Maccabee’.

Proceeds from the event will go towards a much needed wheel chair friendly vehicle for use by residents of the Rainbow Project. The Rainbow Project supports Jewish adults with learning difficulties to live their lives with dignity and participate in the local Jewish & wider community. Use of a suitable vehicle will enable residents to be taken on outings helping to prevent isolation and promote independence.
