Leap Into Spring at the Mitzvahs & Marrows Produce Sale
Join the Mitzvahs & Marrows Allotment Group at their 'Leap into Spring' Produce Sale on 29th February, 12.30-3pm @ The MAZCC.
Mitzvahs & Marrows is the allotment group launched by Neshama (LJWB's Mental Health Service) in 2009. The group meets weekly to dig, plant, grow and harvest fruit and vegetables. Evidence suggests people are mentally stimulated by gardening activities and can often cope better with existing health problems, by taking part in something creative, as well as feeling less prone to low moods and depression. Participating in a gardening activity can be highly theraputic, lifting depression, reducing isolation and offering a highly effective form of exercise.
All produce is homegrown by members of the group & will be available to purchase on the day, including, delicious homemade Kosher chutneys, bulbs, cards & card kits, grow your own pots, mugs, keyrings & more.
