Older People’s Services
Years of Living with Dignity and Independence.
The Older People’s Services team is committed to the provision of high quality, personalised support to older Jewish people.
‘One may be old in years but not in spirit, or poor in wealth, but not in ambition’.
Chinese proverb
We offer the highest standards of professional expertise, care, dignity, maximum control and self determination within the context of Jewish tradition & culture. The team strives to deliver effective social care and daily activities to older people, enabling and encouraging independence in the Community. The social care team assists and enables older people to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
Day Services:
The provision of culturally appropriate leisure and social activities delivered via ‘The Hub’ based at the Marjorie & Arnold Ziff Community Centre. A keyworker system provides support to vulnerable service users, and an outreach resource is available to members of the Jewish Community who are either existing users of the service or to encourage uptake of services. There are approximately 1000 attendances at the various Hub activities every month across the arts, keep fit and musical spectrum. These activities help to promote social inclusion and prevent social isolation.
