Bridge Tournament Comes up Trumps for LJWB

80 bridge players attended the 3rd annual Leeds Jewish Welfare Board bridge tournament on Sunday.

Players competed for the Gale Welfare Board trophy named after the late Herbert and Evelyn Gale who had strong connections with the bridge community.

Melvyn Cohen, Chairman said he hoped that the tournament will become a firm fixture on the bridge charity calendar.

Winners of the tournament were Jackie and Mike Surr. Lesley and Ronnie Millet were openers and guest of honour was Elaine Vites. Derek Fraser acted as tournemant director.

£1000 was raised with all proceeds from the event going to the Leeds Jewish Welfare Board.
